"Roll No 56 " - who is Responsible? Family or School ?
An art movie written and directed by Mr Bhavin Trivedi, a young passionate director from Rajkot is truly a must watch. Bhavin studied filmmaking from Banglore and has always believed in the art of Cinema. He looks at it as a medium of art through which he can bring out the real form of art to the audience in the most subtle way. He believes in being different and thinks out of the box breaking all the conventional ways and being highly creative, as he thinks that True cinema is all about taking risk.
Roll no 56 is about an 11 year old boy, his emotional and mental condition.. It basically addresses an issue which has never been noticed due to various reasons. According to the statistics every year approximately 7 lakh children go missing which is a huge concern. Bhavin has always been deeply concerned about it and had been working on it since past 10 years.
Bhavin says, Real and True Cinema has a language of its own, it is being natural and true towards this form of art. He futher adds that every life is a film in itself and every individual is a character. There are no boundaries, he considers film making to be his mother and he can't live without his mother. Such is his passion. He has been a big fan of Satyajit Ray, Shyam Benegal and Maniratam. The kind of movies they have made has always inspired him.
ROLL NO 56 is Bhavin Trivedi's first film. It is a bilingual film made in Hindi and Gujarati considering the World Cinema at large it is also the first Gujarati art film based on an issue concerning Children. It is for Parents and Teachers who play the most important role in a child's life as also they are the ones who lay a strong foundation. It is a pure story with a pure concept and intention to make the society aware and reflect upon as to why children at such young age feel forced to run away from home. This movie will be screened at varoius prestigious national and international film festivals, to name a few such as the Berlin Internatioanl Film Featival and the Internatioanl Film Festival of India.
Steven Spilberg has rightly said that People have forgotten how to tell a story. Stories don't have a middle or an end any more. They usually have a beginning that never stops beginning. ROLL NO 56 is one such beginning and I am sure this film will bring in a fresh new perspective.
